Ate here twice in two weeks for lunch. Love it! Friendly, fast service, and food is great. Sushi is very fresh and perfect portions.
So far I've tried the Yellow Jacket Roll, Snow White Roll, Firecracker Roll, and Chirashi "Roll" (which is really a bowl rather than a Roll) and it was all delicious!
The Snow White Roll was recommended by our server and it did not disappoint! Definitely recommend.
The Chirashi is also something I HIGHLY recommend! If you like sashimi and can't decide which fish you want, it gives you a little bit of everything for a great price. I will definitely be ordering it again. Also a perfect portion for a fresh, healthy lunch. -

I can't say how much I love the atmosphere here. They know our faces now and we feel like we are welcomed anytime.
I love the waitresses and waiter there. Man, they are so polite. They aren't afraid to be personable. They are never to busy to handle your needs, no matter how many customers are there. -

I've eaten at Thai Diner several times with positive experiences but hadn't been back in a few years until this visit. The quality and cleanliness has dramatically changed.
I like to drink a pot of tea while I eat Thai so I thought I'd try their only option, a blend. When it arrived, with wedges of lemon, I thought it odd, but when I tasted it, I was repulsed. It tasted like dirty socks with a hint of green tea. I asked the waiter what was in the blend (something I should have done first), he told me green tea, jasmine flower, and brown rice. Rice?! Not sure what they were trying to accomplish, but it was awful and the waiter said that most people return it.
The Pad Thai was mushy from over cooked noodles and the sauce was overpowering. I'm not sure if they add MSG, but it was difficult to taste the chicken. I enjoyed the coconut soup and would have loved to find some lemon grass in there.
My colleague enjoyed his ginger chicken and said the spring roll was good.
Also, the service was great. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable.
Having said all of this, the food and service would have garnered a 3 from me if the restaurant itself was not so dirty. Not sure when the floor has been cleaned and the walls were terrible. With all of the great Asian food restaurants to choose from, sadlyThai Diner has just fallen off my list. -

Just to clarify about my earlier review, it pertained to a to-go lunch experience.
So I am back again... The to-go dinner portion for the same pork drunken noodles doesn't have an egg roll though. :( The dinner price is $10.75 versus the cheaper lunch price of $7.95. The portion size seems to be the same overall.
The turnaround time after placing the order was just as quick: 10 to 15 mins. The early dinner time had one to two folks dining in so it wasn't busy.
But, service was above par this time around. It was fine the other time, but this other guy gave me a better impression of Thai Diner. -

Good reliable place! I like the decor and the staff is always nice. The chicken massaman curry is my favorite, but I also enjoy the coconut soup, pad thai. the fried cream cheese rolls, and the sushi. Fried banana dessert is also good. I have been here many times and will keep coming back.
